In 2003 G-AKBO was in need of a major overhaul and was therefore flown to Enstone where it is spending several years whilst being brought back to its former glory.

The pictures that follow show G-AKBO at the start of the overhaul, and later after having been stripped down of flying control surfaces, undercarriage, instruments, fittings and paint (of which there were many layers from previous colour schemes!).

The first image below shows the cockpit before restoration, note the 'Miles' rudder/brake pedals. The second image shows the interior of the rear fuselage taken from where the rear seat would normally be. This is still in an amazingly 'new' condition.
